Our Roots Run West

Not new here. From here.

Ahola Benefits may be headquartered in Cle Elum, but our story starts on the west side. Founder Nicole Ahola was born and raised in Western Washington and spent a decade with Costco, from the Federal Way warehouse to the corporate offices in Issaquah, before building a career in employee benefits. When she founded ABC in 2017, Western Washington employers were her first clients, and today the majority of the businesses we serve are still across the Puget Sound region.

Distance has never changed the service. You reach a real person who already knows your account, whether that’s by phone, video call, or a scheduled visit. For our Western Washington clients, working with ABC feels exactly like working with a broker down the street, minus the downtown parking.

Bellevue & the Eastside

North Sound

Everett & Snohomish County

From aerospace suppliers to main-street employers, North Sound businesses get coverage their teams understand.

Capital

Olympia & Thurston County

We help South Sound and capital-area employers navigate benefits with the same plain-English approach we bring everywhere.

Kitsap & the Peninsulas

Ferry-country businesses are used to remote-friendly service. Ours comes with a real person attached.

Regional Needs

What west-side employers ask us for

Winning the Talent War

In the state’s tightest labor markets, benefits are often the deciding factor. We build packages that help you recruit and retain without breaking the budget.

Multi-Location Coverage

Teams spread across the Sound, or the state? We design plans with networks that work wherever your people actually live.

Cost Control at Scale

From first-time plans to established groups, we model contributions and plan tiers so good coverage stays affordable year after year.

The hometown promise, at a distance

Every ABC client gets the same thing: a consultant who knows your business, answers your calls, and treats your renewal like it matters. That promise was built on Western Washington clients, and it still holds. Schedule a free consultation and see for yourself.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions from Western Washington employers

Will you meet with us in person?
Absolutely. We regularly meet with west-side clients for consultations, open enrollment, and renewal reviews, and we handle the day-to-day by phone and video. You choose the mix that fits your team.
Do you work with the carriers our employees already use?
Yes. We’re independent and work with every major Washington carrier — Premera, Regence, Kaiser Permanente, Aetna, United Healthcare, and more — so your team can usually keep the doctors and networks they already know.
Does working with a consultant outside the city cost more?
No. Like most benefits brokers, we’re compensated through standard carrier commissions already built into plan pricing, so you generally pay the same premium either way. The difference is the service attached to it.
